Luke Somerset – Mortgage Adviser
I first started working in financial services in 2003 for a large investment banks mortgage capital division, working my way up to the position of credit and risk underwriter. Following that I spent some years working for niche brokers as a mortgage specialist, spending two years working as a contractor, before joining the mortgage department here at Contractor Financials in 2010. My broad experience (and the fact that I can “speak the underwriters language”) often means I can help clients to secure a mortgage that otherwise might not be obtainable to them, for instance where a client has limited or inconsistent contracting history, or for those looking to build their own home. So that there are no hidden surprises, I always make sure that my clients understand the mortgage process and documentation required at outset and can work with you to help manage the estate agent and vendors expectations.
